Product Description The Prego Maternity Empire Tank bathingsuit is a solid one piece tank style and available in black or navy. This suit has wide adjustable straps with a hook back bra for excellent bust support for that growing chest. It offers padded bra cups and a flattering empire design. The material will stretch and accomodate your changing pregnancy shape. This swimsuit is excellent for swimming laps in a pool!

Prego maternity swimsuit October 28, 2008 I spent alot of time trying to find a good maternity swimsuit that didn't make you look like a beached whale or a doll! this swimsuit is flattering and functional, with good support and space for the expanding belly.
best maternity lap suit i could find October 3, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This suit is not perfect, but compared to the other maternity one pieces I've been able to find, it is a five star suit! I swim laps three days a week (a little over a mile each time). My maternity tankini drove me crazy because it would come up when I do flip turns, generated extra drag, etc. I tried buying a non-maternity speedo a couple sizes larger than usual, but I quickly outgrew it. My hope was to find one suit that I can wear for the last three months of my pregnancy. I bought the Prego in a size small (I'm 5'9" and was 130 lbs before pregnancy), and it fits perfectly. There is still room to stretch and grow in the bust and belly, but I've had no problems with the suit dragging in the water, and as far as maternity suits go, it's pretty flattering.
I can't say at this point how well the suit will hold up. I've been swimming in it for about three weeks and so far so good. The material definitely does not have the same feel as a real lap suit, though (feels thinner and less supportive). Whether that means that it will deteriorate faster, I don't know. I expect that it will last me through the end of my pregnancy, but if not, I'll get back online and post another review to let you all know!
Great for laps and large breasts August 22, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Although the fabric is a bit unsupportive, it is a great suit for swimming laps. I do give it 5 stars for being the only maternity swimsuit with adjustable straps: perfect for the large breasted types. Overall, great purchase
Cheap, fit is not like the picture, not acceptable for lap swimming August 19, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this suit because I wanted something to swim laps in as I get bigger during pregnancy. So far I'm still fitting in my regular Dolphin suit but soon I'll need something bigger.
I thought I would like this suit because it is a one-piece and looks sporty, and because of the empire waist design. However, here are the flaws
1. the empire waist (line under the breasts) looks like it will give you some support and prevent the tent-like look, but it does not do this. The suit still wears like a big tank suit, leaving lots of airspace between your breasts and tummy. It does go in a little, but I have 2-3 inches between my body and the fabric.
2. The front is too low cut - much lower than any sport suit such as a Speedo or Dolphin. It is not ultra low like many other maternity suits, but still much lower than I wanted. The tan line from my other sport suits looks ridiculous as this suit shows about 4 inches of pale skin.
3. The overall construction of the suit is cheap. You can just tell by the feel of the material and flimsy straps.
4. The butt is too big for me. It just hangs there..literally.
Some of these issues are just related to my body type, but still I think the suit is unacceptable for serious lap swimming. I usually wear a size 36-38 and now that I'm pregnant have a D cup so admittedly maybe I'm kinda large in the bust for a swimmer (this could be part of the reason why it is so low cut on me). I ordered a large PregO suit and it was too small in the upper bust, yet too loose around the chest (below the breasts), and too loose in the rear. Otherwise it was long enough and seemed to have plenty of room in the tummy for a growing belly.
I think I'll just buy a spandex Speedo a couple of sizes bigger than usual.
great for swimming laps! August 3, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I searched and searched for an appropriate suit to wear while swimming laps during pregnancy. This suit is super cute, makes me feel like I look great, and it doesn't fall off while swimming....the adjustable straps help with that. I highly recommend this suit...lap swimming or not!
