A great all-around surf suit, the women's Aura costs less than Body Glove's cold-water Vapor and Vibe suits, but still does the trick in moderate water temperatures. The suit's arm, underarm, and lumbar areas are made of Body Glove's Future Flex material, an extra-soft, extra-flexible fabric that's both comfortable and easy to remove. The 3/2 mm construction (3 mm in the torso and 2 mm in the arms and shoulders) is supplemented by fairskin panels on the chest and back for added warmth in the core. Meanwhile, the flatlock seams--which look a bit like railroad tracks but lay flat against the skin for comfort--let in a minimum of water when submerged. The result is a versatile surfing suit for water in the range of 60 degrees F and up (users should consider 6/5/4 mm, 5/4/3 mm, or 4/3 mm suits with Fluid Seal seams for colder temperatures). In addition, the suit is anatomically cut for both comfort and style, culminating in a glove-like fit (the sizes range from 3/4 to 13/14). Add such handy extras as superflex stretch kneepads (a must for surfers), a short zip, and an interior key pocket and you have a great suit for a host of moderate surf spots.

 Fine for my needs as a sea kayaker December 16, 2008
I chose it because it seemed like a perfect fit and easy to get on and off. I am a winter sea kayaker and have not yet tested it out on the water. My only objection is that it is a rear zip which is just a little inconvenient...but probably a bit warmer that a front zip. I would wear a balaclava on my head and neoprene booties and gloves, and another jacket over it all. Cannot beat it for the price!

This suit gave me a bad rash around my neck. It looked like a hickie. It didn't go away for about two weeks. When it healed it scarred my neck. If that's not enough, water seeps in through the seams of the suit and in from the zipper in the back. I eventually got a better suit that was twice as expensive and I love it. As the old adage says, you get what you pay for. I encourage anyone looking around for a wetsuit to really consider how important it is that a product (that you spent hard earned money on) does what it is supposed to do, in this case protect me from the elements. Instead I had to protect myself from it.
