Emblazoned with a sweet butterfly and wildflower motif, this summery dinnerware pattern is versatile enough to serve everyday meals or stand in for special occasion dining. Perfect for an average family, this set packs six 10-3/4-inch dinner plates, six 9-inch salad plates, and six 12-ounce mugs. Made of fine china, the dinnerware has a beautiful reflective quality to its ivory base color yet is surprisingly durable enough to go from the freezer to the oven to the table without damaging and is also safe for the microwave and dishwasher. Based on designs from Lenox artist Louise de Luyer, Butterfly Meadow's dinnerware set mixes and matches a variety of meadow scenes, each featuring a species of butterfly with a different bloom.  Not just butterflies! January 6, 2009
Nice set of dishes. But be advised... besides the butterflies the pattern includes a cute little honey bee. During dinner, it was a little unsettling to see out of the corner of my eye what might have been a fly on my plate! We still like the dishes but wish we had selected a different pattern.

I was thrilled to find this service for 6 at the fantastic price of $99. After searching the web I found this to be the "true" reduced price. I ordered them one day and they arrived the next day. I could not be happier -- they are of the highest quality and have already received "ooohs and aaahs" from guests. So, Amazon, you have my business from here on out - keep up the good work!!

This set nicely complements my Butterfly Meadow tea set. I particularly liked the smaller plates - perfect for a lunch sandwich and chips or salad.

This is not the cheapest set on the market but it's well worth every penny. Indonesia-made plates and mugs are of very high quality. Individual design of higher-than-usual artistic quality on every plate and mug create endless opportunities to mix-and-match and talk about it at the dinner table.
Bottom "circles" of the plates and mugs are very smooth and do not scratch table surface - valuable quality for me and my glass-top dinner table. The surface of the plates and embedded pictures are hard enough so steel silverware does not scratch them. Dishes are microwave safe, dishwasher safe, chip-resistant and lighter than common porcelain dishes.
I am very satisfied with this set. I bought other Butterfly bowls to complement the set. Though, I had the items in my amazon "wishlist" and waited few weeks for their Friday and weekend sales and got those at sizeable discount.
