 Really nice, but beware, RUNS SMALL! January 9, 2009
I bought this sweater for my wife for Christmas. She is somewhere between a size 6 and size 8, so I thought to be on the safe size, I would get her a medium (unfortunately for me, at the time I ordered this, there were no reviews!) It was much too small for her! I needed to return it for a large. It is the only thing in her entire wardrobe that is labeled a large! Besides this, she loves the sweater! I can recommend this, providing you BUY A SIZE LARGER THAN USUAL!

I should have read the reviews here before ordering. I am a size medium, but this sweater is much too small. I'm exchanging it for a large and hope that will be large enough. Like another reviewer here, I could not button the sweater. The cashmere itself looks great -- I ordered the black and it is a true black color.

I have to agree with the others; these sweaters run small. I would suggest ordering one size larger than you might normally wear. For example my small mother needs a medium sweater. Other than that, I thought the quality was nice and the colors were vibrant. I did notice that the buttons "bunch" a bit when buttoned up. But for the price, I can't be too nit-picky.

I bought this sweater for my mother-in-law. She said the sweater's texture was wonderfully soft and the color was beautiful (periwinkle), but the sweater was MUCH too small. I thought xlarge would cover a size16, but she couldn't even bring the edges together to button . Please take size into consideration before you order!!

I bought one in black and one in light purple for grandmothers. The black is a true black [too light black fabric is a pet peeve of mine]. Also, I am not a purple person and actually like this light purple color. They are very pretty. The cashmere is beautiful quality. There are some reviews of this sweater that complain the fabric is thin and not good quality. I disagree. Cashmere sweaters, by definition are supposed to be light. These are light, but not paper thin. You won't need an opaque layer underneath. I have no idea what those reviewers are talking about. I would spend three times the $50 sale price on this item. I bought a bunch of these sweaters as gifts for women of varying ages, sizes and shapes. These sweaters are classic cuts and styles and I'm confident that they will all look gorgeous in them. My only "criticism" is that I wish they made a matching short sleeved shell to wear underneath as a set! :)
