They were clothing covering a stuffing material and not very substantial. I love my shoulder pads and didn't think these worked as well as the foam ones but the foams fall apart in time.

Kathleen Kirkwood makes the best shoulder pads ever. I have been wearing them for years, usually bought from QVC and from a local department store. The velcro holds the pads in place and is very comfortable if you match the velcro up right. These particular pads are just the right shape and size. They are very thin and natural looking, just enough to make you look like you have shoulders if you don't, like me! I wear them everyday under everything. They can be washed and set out on a cabinet to dry. The shoulder pads will wear, wash, and keep their shape for several years. I love them and could not do without them. They round out my figure and make me look better in all my clothes.
